Our early work connected school support in Uganda with community activities in Canada. Academics, health, life skills, mentorship and peer relationships were central to the mission, alongside practical support for women and families.
TAGI’s founding mission focused on working with communities so girls, young people and women could access education and opportunities to shape their futures.
School outreach in Uganda included menstrual supplies for Primary Seven girls at Kagote Primary School. In Canada, the early record describes refugee and newcomer support, volunteering and community engagement.
A pad-drive appeal focused on the February school reopening. A separate July announcement invited newcomer mothers to a BBQ under the theme “Motherhood Joy.” Explore the original records below.
TAGI published perspectives on girls’ education, women’s empowerment, cyber harassment and responsible digital participation. These articles remain available in Advocacy & Insights.
